The TJ series is a social and emotional learning program emphasizing the importance of cooperation and teamwork by focusing on skills in three areas: 
- making group plans
- appreciating differences and including people of diverse backgrounds in group activities as opportunities for learning
- playing as a cooperative team in competitive situations

Boys & Girls Club members learn how to implement the use of self-control, group participation, social decision making and problem solving techniques. They also learn how to relate what they’ve learned to situations in their own lives.
