The Boys & Girls Clubs of the Emerald Coast are recipients of the 21st CCLC Grant. We have seven locations to serve you in four counties. We anticipate serving 300 students during the 2011-2012 year.

BGCEC 21st CCLC Goals and Objectives 2011-2012

1.1 70% of regularly participating students will increase their reading skills as demonstrated by FCAT scores and report card grades, as well as formative measurements such as Florida Assessment for Instruction in Reading (F.A.I.R.) scores, district assessments, standardized test scores, and pre-, mid-, post- assessments (e.g., teacher created assessments, computer-based assessments, curriculum-based assessment/tools).

1.3 70% of regularly participating students will increase science skills as demonstrated by such measures as FCAT scores, quarterly report card grades, district assessments, standardized test scores, and pre-, mid-, post- assessments (e.g., teacher created assessments, computer-based assessments, curriculum-based assessment/tools).

2.1 70% of regularly participating students will increase their knowledge of nutrition as demonstrated by such measures as pre-, mid-, post- assessments (e.g., teacher created assessments, curriculum-based assessment/tools).

2.2 70% of regularly participating students will increase their knowledge of performing and/or visual arts as demonstrated by such measures as pre-, mid-, post- assessments (e.g., teacher created assessments, curriculum-based assessment/tools).

2.3 50% of regularly participating students will improve or maintain acceptable levels {No more than two behavior referrals/write-ups per quarter} of behavior (school and program) as demonstrated by such measures as quarterly conduct grades, quarterly suspension reports, and/or quarterly discipline reports.

2.4 70% of regularly participating students will improve or maintain acceptable levels {No more than 3 unexcused absences per quarter} of school attendance as demonstrated by such measures as quarterly attendance data.

2.5 70% of regularly participating students will increase their knowledge of drug and/or violence prevention as demonstrated by such measures as pre-, mid-, post- assessments (e.g., teacher created assessments, curriculum-based assessment/tools).

3.1 80% of adult family members of regularly participating students will attend 4 of family events-based on program offerings 21st CCLC/targeted school as demonstrated by such measures as sign-in sheets.

3.2 60% of adult family members of regularly participating students will increase their involvement in their child's education as demonstrated by such measures as pre-, mid-, post- surveys.
