Denton Blvd. Club

At the Boys & Girls Club we promote Academics, Good Citizenship & Healthy Lifestyle through many different activities and programs.

The Denton Blvd. Club is open Monday - Friday.
We offer After School (immediately after school until 6:00 pm) while school is in session, and All-Day (9:00 am - 6:00 pm) during the summer.

Our Sunrise program (6:30-8:30 am) is available during the school year for Kenwood Elementary students.
Transportation is available from most Okaloosa co. elementary schools, but limited. Call the Club for more information.

Registration Information : There is a $25 registration fee. There is is also a $15 weekly fee to particpate in after-school Club programs, and a $25 weekly fee for all-day programs.

Our GREAT Staff

Sam Roberts

It is a unanimous decision from the staff of the DeFuniak Springs Boys & Girls Club that Sam Roberts be our employee of the quarter for January through March.  Sam is the Technology Director at the Denton Club. 

Since January Sam has made three trips to DeFuniak to do work in our computer lab.  His energetic approach to his work is without measure and proves his worth to this organization.  He spent numerous hours troubleshooting each computer, cleaning out viruses, and installing new equipment, often working through his lunch break.  Despite living in Fort Walton Beach, Sam has traveled to DeFuniak Springs three times this quarter, arriving before 9:00am and leaving with just enough time to return to the Denton Club to help with bus runs. 

Without his technical support we would not have the use of our computer systems; our kids would not have computers for homework, entertainment or school projects, and we the staff would not be able to effectively do our jobs or teach Boys & Girls Club programming.  Sam has proven his dedication to the Boys & Girls Club and, in our opinion, is a valuable part of this organization.  Because of his unflagging efforts to maintain quality working equipment in our tech lab we are happy to nominate Samuel Roberts as 2010’s first quarter Staff of the Quarter.
