Scholarships
To apply for a Boys & Girls Clubs of the Emerald
Coast Program Scholarship at any of our Club Sites you need to
supply the following information:
- A copy of your W-2 from the previous year.
- A copy of a pay stub from your current job.
- A list of all additional income you and your
family receive including Social Security, Food Stamps, SSDI,
Free & Reduced Lunches or Medicaid.
Submit this information to the site director of the
facility your child(ren) will be attending. You will be contacted
by the site director with the type of scholarship you are eligible
to receive. Be aware that in the case of scholarships for the
summer program, required submittal deadlines will be announced.
Check with the site director for any such dates. Your information
will be evaluated by a BGCEC scholarship team and all information
is kept private and secure.
The BGCEC recommends that all families requesting a
program scholarship from the Club also contact Child Care Services
and apply for the state childcare assistance program. Their phone

Boys & Girls Clubs of the Emerald
Coast Foundation - College Scholarships
This scholarship is available for current members
of any of the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Emerald Coast, who are
graduating from high school. They must put in 50 hours of
volunteer service at any of the Club sites and participate in the
Keystone Club meetings held at the Teen Centers.
Scholarships range from $250-$1500; dependent on
how long the youth has been a Boys & Girls Club member and their
service within the Clubs. The funds are paid directly to the
college of choice upon student registration at that school.

towards receiving this is February 28th of their graduation year.

Gives out 5 College Scholarships
Tuesday, May 22, 2007 – The Boys & Girls Clubs
of the Emerald Coast Foundation in partnership with Mr. Earl
Hamilton, a past Club member, gave out 5 College Scholarships to
Club Teens. On Tuesday May 8th, Bear Henley; President and CPO and
Bernard Heyward; Teen Center Unit Director gave out scholarships
to these Boys & Girls Club students: Josh Cragin, Courtney Dollson,
Jerrell Grant, Jamal Harris and Courtney Jones. Each student is a
graduating senior from Choctawhatchee High School and planning on
attending a variety of schools in the southeast.
