Scholarships

To apply for a Boys & Girls Clubs of the Emerald Coast Program Scholarship at any of our Club Sites you need to supply the following information:

  • A copy of your W-2 from the previous year.
  • A copy of a pay stub from your current job.
  • A list of all additional income you and your family receive including Social Security, Food Stamps, SSDI, Free & Reduced Lunches or Medicaid.

Submit this information to the site director of the facility your child(ren) will be attending. You will be contacted by the site director with the type of scholarship you are eligible to receive. Be aware that in the case of scholarships for the summer program, required submittal deadlines will be announced. Check with the site director for any such dates. Your information will be evaluated by a BGCEC scholarship team and all information is kept private and secure.

The BGCEC recommends that all families requesting a program scholarship from the Club also contact Child Care Services and apply for the state childcare assistance program. Their phone number is 850.833.9333.

Feel free to contact our Administrative offices with any additional questions at 850.862.1616.

Boys & Girls Clubs of the Emerald Coast Foundation - College Scholarships

This scholarship is available for current members of any of the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Emerald Coast, who are graduating from high school. They must put in 50 hours of volunteer service at any of the Club sites and participate in the Keystone Club meetings held at the Teen Centers.

Scholarships range from $250-$1500; dependent on how long the youth has been a Boys & Girls Club member and their service within the Clubs. The funds are paid directly to the college of choice upon student registration at that school.

Interested students should contact Bernard Heyward at 850.862.1616 for more information about the scholarships. The deadline to inform us that you are working towards receiving this is February 28th of their graduation year.
